Because India was going through political difficulties, Pi's family moved to Canada and moved over by way of a cargo ship, that carried zoo animals. He taught Pi and his brother about the dangers of animals by feeding a tiger a live goat right in front of them. This is based on the 2001 book written by Yann Martel. It was based on a screenplay that was written by David Magee. Life of Pi is a 2012 released movie that was directed by Ang Lee. Not being able to prove the true story, the officials go with the animal story. So Pi retells the story, this time replacing the animals with the family members. Japanese Maritime Department interview Pi after he's found, but they don't believe his story of the animals and of living with Richard Parker all those days. In all, Pi spent 227 days in the boat with Richard Parker, ensuring that there would be enough food to sustain Richard Parker from eventually eating Pi. Once they are there, Richard Parker leaves and adults that Pi to a hospital. It is discovered that the vegetation on the island eat humans, because Pi saw some human teeth stuck inside a tree, so that Richard Parker and Pi decide to leave the island in fear they too, would be eaten. ![]() Pi and Richard Parker fight to stay alive, until they come to an island where they explore the island by day and sleep in the boats at night. Pi is left alone on the sea with Richard Parker. The tiger, Richard Parker, ate the hyena after the hyena ate the orangutan and zebra. So, eventually, Pi ended up on a lifeboat with three animals: an orangutan, hyena and zebra. It was all very crazy and noisy and Pi didn't know what was going on. However, some of the ship's crew find Pi and throw him back into the life boat. He ended up on a boat with the tiger, Richard Parker, but remembering what his father taught him about the dangerous of zoo animals, he decided to then go back into the water. ![]()
